What are the industry standards set for Doors & Windows in India? What is the market scenario?
India is the fastest growing economy in the world today. Construction industry is one of the key sectors and is growing at an unbelievable rate. Based on popular market trends and research, it is estimated to grow even further in foreseeable future. This directly translates to higher demand for Doors & Windows. But the Doors Industry on the other hand, has not been industrialized yet in India, and we see wish to address the gap with NCLdoor™.
Our vision is to industrialize the doors manufacturing process and provide customers with a hassle free, one stop solution for all their door needs. Take for example the windows industry, before uPVC, majority of windows in India were made of wood and installed by carpenters. uPVC has revolutionized the window industry, and today the construction industry has shifted in a big way towards using uPVC windows. In a similar way, we expect NCLdoor™ will be the first step towards revolutionizing the doors industry away from wooden doors.
Now the market has evolved and matured. The Complete door solution (frame, shutter, architrave as a door package along with hard ware and installation) from single vendor is widely required by the industry. However there are only very few players (Like NCL door) are currently capable of offering this service to the fullest satisfaction of the customers. Further there is wide acceptance of engineered wood as an alternative material for conventional timber products.
Customers / Builders are moving away from the traditional doors system wherein the door frames are installed during the brick work stage of the construction. The wooden frames installed at this stage are susceptible to cracks and fungus growth due to the increased moisture content in the walls during initial phases of construction. The trend now is to install door frames and shutters at the same time at the finishing stages of construction, this also comes with an added advantage of better cashflow for customers.
How would you evaluate the market share you enjoy for products amongst other companies relevant in the Doors and Windows industry?
NCL Doors have made their presence well known in few markets throughout India. We have great future and expected to increase the market share considerably in the long term. We are probably the only company in this industry, with our own in house raw material (cement bonded particle board) source. It is a distinct advantage over the competition, which are mostly depending on imported sources for all raw materials. We have the largest automated factory with manufacturing capacity of 1000 doors /shift. We can deliver consistent quality products with faster delivery along with site professional installation and service.

As a company, NCL has always been very strong in R&D. NCL Industries has been a pioneer in introducing several innovative products and services in the Building Materials space for the past 4 decades.
Our R&D is in continuous work in designing products for different market segments. We strive to improve the product and make it a robust product that exceeds customer expectations.
We have recently established a large experience centre in Hyderabad in our H.O with wide range of products. We have exclusive product display vans with few full-size door models, which can be driven to the prospective customer place throughout India, which enables the customers to get first hand touch & feel of the product. We are also working with business associates in most of the key markets and are in process of identifying few more in unrepresented areas.
We also recently got certification by CBRI, Roorkee for 30 min and 60 min Fire Rated Doors (FRD). We are in the process of getting a 120 min FRD tested and certified as well.

What is your wish for 2021?
We hope and pray that we all are back to normal life soon and also wish the construction industry, in particular residential market to get back to pre-covid situation.
As a company, we foresee a growth of more than 100% in terms of turnover in the financial year 2021-22, and expect to grow at a very fast rate for the next few years. We are very keen to be the preferred door solution vendor for our customers and provide a hassle-free solution for our end customers.
